| I checked the thresholds by inputting mv of DC into pin 16 of the uP. At most sensitive setting, needed 80mv to solidly light the 1st LEDs, then 20mv more for each step. Sensitivity 2 required 2 times the mv, sensitivity 3 required 3 times the mv, etc. The mic had a 3 transistor amplifier to boost the audio to a higher level. True, this is not a DB meter, would work well to indicate the relative volume of a PA system. Soft speakers could get a visual feedback of their softness, and speak or sing louder so everyone could hear. I used 7of these to monitor surround sound speakers. I hope they get more in stock soon. | ||
